According to the surfactants, shower gels are divided into the following three types:
① Fatty-acid salt shower gel: commonly known as a soap-based product. It is made by neutralizing fatty acids with alkali and features strong cleaning ability and rich foam. The pH of the human body skin is acidic. Therefore, the use of soap-based shower gel might cause irritations to the skin.
② Synthetic surfactant shower gel: synthetic surfactant, such as amino acid surfactant, has the advantages of low irritation, fine foam, and moisturizing effect.
③ Combined shower gel: a shower gel combined with fatty acid salts and synthetic surfactants, taking into account the excellent cleansing power of fatty acid salts, rich foam, and the advantages of mild and low irritation of synthetic surfactants.
